May 19 Sunday Regensburg

Got to sleep in which was lucky because the coffee ice cream from the night before dessert kept me awake.
The guide arrived at 9:30 and we did a walking tour around town; nic
e cathedral, preserved homes and shops that were closed today due to it being Sunday.
The guide dropped us at a restaurant to use the vouchers we had received from the ship. We had wurstl, sauerkraut, brot and ein beer which we enjoyed on a picnic table beside the river.
Afterwards we walked around town discovering a beer festival with a flea market, childrens rides and carnival food. The walk back to the ship was a scenic stroll beside the river through the forest.
Carl did manage to locate an open pub for a German beer on a patio.
Upon returning to the ship a chocolate tasting was arranged. We tasted three different types of praline chocolates and all were delicious.
Hansi the one man band entertained us in the evening. He was funny and fantastic. I even bought his cd.
